Looks like I'll be building a new PC. Mrs. OWW scored a motherboard and processor (AMD Sempron) along with 256M of memory. OWW hisself acquired, for cash (dammitallanyway) another 256M and an 80G drive.
WallyWorld (Walmart) sold me that HDD for a lousy $70! Five years ago you couldn't get an 80G ATA drive at all!
Technological progress is grand.....
