- - - - - Tiananmen Square - - - - -

Today, June 4th, is the 16th anniversary of the bloody massacre of students at Tiananmen Square, Peking, People's Republic of China.

There was no mention of this anniversary in either of my two local papers.

Nor do I see the world's liberals making disapproving noises at the heirs of Chaiman Mao.

Instead, the world's liberals are fainting dead away over the 5 documented instances of alleged mistreatment of the Koran. Note that 15 instances of prisoners abusing their own Korans isn't even mentioned in either of my two local papers.

Of course, I do abuse my two local papers.

I thwack my dog when she deserves it (rarely), I rattle it when I turn the page (frequently), and I curse it roundly when I see something that displeases me (daily).

Will the great demon of the ACLU issue a fatwah declaring me infidel and outcast?

Gawd...I hope so!

And now, for something really important - I'm off to watch my daughters at their dance recital - MUCH more important than those idiots reporting non-existent abuse.
