- - - - - I Don't Need No Stinkin' Alarm Clocks! - - - - -

6:30AM 3-25-05

During the week, I usually roll out to the dulcet tones of 3 Dog Night, courtesy of the CD player built into my alarm clock. I've been thinking of changing the CD to something a little more... robust, such as CCR or the Rolling Stones (before Mick started looking like the Mummy Unwrapped).

This morning, no alarm clock required. Five minutes prior to alarm time, Mother Nature delivered rain, pea-sized hail, and God's Own Light Show with Percussion Solos to make Gene Krupa weep.

Of course, the lightning, or something, caused my DSL to go scribble-shit, so I couldn't post until well after I got home at 9PM from:

1. Job nr 1 at LHITWCS (Little Hole-In-The-Wall Computer Store) - one Format And Start Over Again (Spyware - damn their miserable hides), one fried modem (lightning strike), one "it takes forever to boot" - many large files on desktop in Windows Millenium, which I moved into a directory with a shortcut on the desktop.
2. Various minor chores around house, as job nr 2 SGO (Small Governmental Organization) is closed for Good Friday
3. My Pop's arrival from visiting my Aunt in Ft. Lauderdale
4. Softball practice for Daughter Moogs
5. Dinner at Sonny's Barbecue (note: I have yet to find a good Mexican restaurant in GA or FL - one of the few things about California that I miss. Good Mexican food is one of God's Good Things - and purely beats the snot out of any Chinese I've had.)

Mixed in with 3,4 and 5 was much good conversation - all of which took priority over blogging.

Try it HERE. I got 8 out of 10 - and if I hadn't shot from the hip, it would have been 9. Capitals of the various minor 'Stans has never been my strong point in Geography.
