- - - - - Working - - - - -

Today marks an interesting milestone in OWW's working life.

I'm actually working! Almost a full work-week too, ban yumpin' yiminy!

It works this way:

9AM to 12 Noon: Little Hole-In-The-Wall Computer Store (Hereafter LHITWCS)
1PM to 5PM: Small Governmental Organization (Hereafter SGO)

In both places I'm working on PCs - at the LHITWCS it's on the consumer end of things - XP Home and Win9X, mostly - on all kinds of hardware. At the SGO it's corporate desktop support - Win2K Pro and XP Pro, exclusively on Dell PCs, as that's the standard platform for the SGO.

That amounts to 35 hours a week, at a rate of pay that ain't really great, but is a BUNCH better than nothing at all.

Four years ago, in January 2001, if you'd said that I would be grateful to have two part-time jobs, I'd have given you the fish eye and wondered just how tightly wrapped you were.

Now? Trust me, Bubba, I'm so damned glad to be working.

And now it's time to scrub off the old bod and get ready for (Yippee!) work...
