- - - - - Inauguration Day - - - - -

On this day, George W. Bush took the oath of office of the Presidency of the United States of America.

In the the General Election, the President was opposed by Senator John F. Kerry.

Senator Kerry was not intimidated, was not threatened, was not assaulted.

Senator Kerry is still a US Senator, still influential, not imprisoned, not assasinated.

The "loyal opposition" is still the "loyal opposition", and is singularly willing to toss verbal and written cherry bombs at the party in power.

This is as it should be.

God Bless the United States of America.

(And better luck next time, boys and girls!)

- - - - - Rolling Stone Magazine - - - - -

Didja hear that Rolling Stone Magazine refused to run an ad for the Bible?

Really, it's true! See the news report from an agent of the MainStreamMedia HERE. (After all, if it's in the MainStreamMedia, minor branch, you just know it has to be true, right?)

Well, over on Powerline, there's been some absolutely mahhhvelous satirical lyrics written. Just sing 'em to yourself, to the tune from the old Dr. Hook tune, "Cover of the Rolling Stone"

Oh, we’re big free-speechers,
First-amendment preachers,
And we rail against censorship.
We talk about freedom
And we talk about rights,
But that stuff’s all service of lip.
We print all kinds of trash
To make us all kinds of cash,
But there’s one thing we can’t condone -
Don’t you get religious,
Or we may get litigious,
There’s no Bible in the Rolling Stone…
Rolling Stoooooone….

"But wait, there's MOOOOOOOORE! See it all HERE, and laugh yer buns off!
