OWW will be blogging lightly, or not at all over the next few days. Bro-In-Law Mike is here from Calif, Mom- and Pop-In-Law are expected later today. Tomorrow will be taken up by 'way too much food, Friday with digestion issues, Saturday with cleaning, and Sunday with intense loafing.

Contrary to popular opinion, I do not read other bloggers just to get all bent out of shape at what the politicians and the PC people are up to. I don't just mine CNN/NBC/ABC/FOX/YAHOO news items to get all mad at editorials I don't agree with.
I read these things for entertainment.
Really, I do!
Like for instance, this little snippet from The One And Only (thank goodness!) Velociman:
So there I was, standing over a grill in flambe, my spare ribs in death throes from licking flames due to gross inattention. I had a glass of water in my hand, and was dipping three fingers into the water and slinging it onto the flames to squelch the fire. And for some bizarre reason every time I did it I would yell "The power of Christ compels you!!!"
Then I turned around and saw my 11-year-old looking at me like, ah, life could be pretty sweet in an orphanage.
Thankfully they are bringing back Cabbage Patch Kids this year. I may have an opportunity to shore up some father-daughter issues after all. |
Now, can you tell me exactly which sitcom show has a better scene than that?
