Yeah, I know that I was going to ignore politics for a while. But this flaming moon-bat is just too good to ignore.
Is secession the only answer? Certainly not. But it could be and perhaps someday may be the only way to establish a society that respects the rights and liberties of all. It sends a loud message that California absolutely will not live under the theocracy of the religious right.

It appears that Jeff Morisette, owner/operator of MoveOnCalifornia.org, is really, really distressed by GW's win. But, he's a little short on logic.
Firstly, California will have to continue to import electricity, unless some really big power plants are built. And what will the power plants use for fuel? And where will that fuel come from? It'll have to be imported. Of course, they could always build nuclear, right?
Secondly, where is California's water going to come from? The Colorado River? You really think that if California is an independent nation, that the remainder of the US is going to give up more water to "furriners"? And Mexico will cheerfully give up some of their share? Uh...right.
Thirdly, Calfornia isn't the solidly liberal block that Jeff might imagine. Reference to the map shows a large number of places that went for Bush - d'you seriously think that they're going to be happy with your idea, Jeff?
Now, let's "move on" to the real sticking point - you really think that the rest of the US is going to go for the secession of California? Read your history, Jeff, paying special attention to the period 1860-1864.
