- - - - - The Debate, Part III - - - - -
The Prez seemed a lot more comfortable than in the first two debates.
Zinger #1: "Senator Kennedy is the Conservative Senator from Massachusetts."
Zinger #2: "On the Left Bank of American opinion." (not sure on the exact wording of this one)
Bon Mot: "Stand up straight and don't scowl."
On the substance:
The Prez laid out, in plain English, his positions on Iraq, Afghanistan (and they are NOT the same thing, not at all!), and education.
The Senator made some points with the economy and (shudder) gun control.
Net win: The Prez.
OWW's overall score for 3 debates: 1 win, 1 tie, 1 loss.
Now, the spinners will opine, the networks will pontificate, the talk shows will flame.
OWW predicts (as of Right Now, subject to instant change without notice) on Election Day: Bush 54%, Kerry 44%, Nader 2%. The Electoral College may or may not fall into those percentages.
Note: I don't care who you vote for. If you're eligible to vote, and you don't vote, you just lost your right the bitch, snivel and moan. Get out there and vote!
