- - - - - Part-time Gig - - - - -
Picked up a part-time gig last week, repairing big-screen TVs in the home. A BigNameBrand contracted through an outfit out West, and they dug through their resume pile and come up with me.
According to the guy I talked with, if you're any good with swapping boards and power supplies in PCs, you can do this TV thingie - and it turns out to be true.
Pay's pretty decent, on an hourly basis. On the other hand, I have to drive my own car, although they do pay mileage as calculated off Yahoo Maps. On the gripping hand, it is my car, which means I'm not worried about a rent-a-heap.
This'll definitely do until I can get a full-time permanent thing going....
