My Mad Friend From Texas and I agree a lot more than we disagree.
On the subject of a National Intelligence Czar, we agree: It is a baaad idea.
According to Bud:
So far we have a new Reichsprotektor - er - Director of Homeland Security and now a copy of the Siecherheitsdienst is proposed.

I tend to go a little further than that. Think of the word "Czar". Think of the worst of the Romanov excesses. Think "Okhrana". Think imprisonment without trial, or appeal, or appearance before a judge. Think "Siberia", or "Gulag", or...."Guantanamo Bay".
Before you think I've dropped off the deep end, ask yourself: Where is the Declaration of War? Where are the limits? Who determines the limits?
