- - - - - Sandy Berger - - - - -

It's now 6:30 AM EST. All of the news organizations have had more than enough time to get their stuff together for today's news feeds and newspapers.

So, where's the Sandy Berger bashing?

It was revealed yesterday that Berger, who was National Security Advisor to President Clinton, removed highly classified documents from the National Archives by stuffing some of the documents into his clothing.

Let's do a "what if".

"What if" this security breach was perpetrated by the former National Security Advisor to a Republican president? Let's say Colin Powell, who was George H.W. Bush's NSA. Can you imagine the noise and fury?

Well, what's being said now?

In the Georgia Times-Union, which is about as conservative as a daily paper gets? Buried on page 6 of the front section (Source: AP), and nothing in the Editorial section.

I checked the on-line edition of the San Jose Mercury/News, my former home-town newspaper - they're running the same AP story as the Times-Union. Editorial page? Nada.

I tried Google News - the latest stuff is 18 hours old.

Just for an example, MoveOn.ORG would be going ballistic. I checked, and not a peep.
