- - - - - The Move That Will Not Die - - - - -
When we bought The Swamp, a refridgerator was included. A little smaller than our old one, but here, installed, and operating. So the old one was relegated to the garage, which is the storage place of choice for any red-blooded American family.
Well, when I dragged it out from behind the boxes yesterday and opened up the freezer door, the smell damn near knocked me down.
After many applications of 409 cleaner, it's ready for testing - I want to make sure the ice maker works. So load it on the dolly and move into the kitchen. Pretty simple, right?
Yeah.
To make a short story shorter, the old reefer is now in the kitchen alongside the "new" reefer, with the water line for the ice maker hooked up. I'll let it run for 24 hours to make sure the ice maker works. Then the "new" reefer goes out to the garage for beer-cooling duty.
If I could just find a source for Red Hook ESB, or Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, I'd be a happy camper....
- - - - - National Security Advisor - - - - -
Once upon a time, I was a Radioman in the US Navy, with security clearances out the wazoo.
Had I done what Sandy Berger, National Security Advisor in the Clinton administration is alleged to have done with classified documents, I'd still be in the slammer, right next door to Walker, Ames, & Co.
Question number 513: What did Kerry know about this, and when did he know it?
