"Climate is what you expect, weather is what you get."
I dunno who said that, but they (he, she, whoever) was absolutely correct.
We've had thunderstorms for the last five days, generally in the evening. Rain, and lots of it. Humidity at 90+%, and temps at 90F+.
Not like California (from whence we came) at all.
