From this gent, an interesting comment:
"And then there were the remarks made by the former Archbishop of Canterbury, George Carey. Last month he merely reminded an audience that most Islamic countries were 'undemocratic and authoritarian' and that Islamic culture had achieved little since its golden age in the Middle Ages. There was predictable outrage from Muslim spokesmen, who said how 'saddened' they were by his remarks, accusing him of 'trampling on a sensitive area'....
I say to those outraged by Mr. Carey's comments, remember what happened on September 11th? Perpetrated by those from countries ruled by Isalmic law?
Take your hurt feelings and put them away. You ARE going to have to put up with some nasty comments from time to time.
You don't like it?
Go somewhere where Islamic law rules. Around here, we have freedom of speech, un-moderated by our own religious bigots, even if Britain does not.
Yeah. I'm politically incorrect. I insult who I please, when I please.
So what?
I'm also feeling a little grumpy - can you tell?
Again, so what?
