Mohammed Abbas, hijacker-in-chief of the Italian cruise ship Achille Lauro died while in US custody. Abbas was the "mastermind" behind the hijacking, and also ordered the execution of wheelchair-bound Leon Klinghoffer, a US citizen.
Although he was captured when US fighter jets forced his airplane to land on an Italian base, the Italians released him before a warrant for his arrest could be served.
He eventually was captured during the recent invasion of Iraq. There's other twists and turns, but, he died in the slammer anyway.
I do not weep for the miserable puke.
