- - - - - Politics And Old Weird Ward - - - - -

Just for the record - I'm an independent. I look at the facts, apply my own philosophy, survey the candidates, and throw up my hands.

I have to say that I'm not real thrilled with GW & Co. I'm even less thrilled with the current crop of Democratic candidates.

Say what you like about Harry Truman, he knew about responsibility. Remember "The Buck Stops Here"?

At this point, OWW has had it up to his eyeballs with the political silly season.

Not because I'm getting hammered. Far from it. I love to generate a little debate. The debate helps me clarify, in my own mind, my thoughts and positions.

Right now, the silly season needs to be ignored for a bit, whilst the purchase of new (to us) house is finalized, furniture is shoved around, a real yard is marveled at, and OWW sets up various computers that have real keyboards and all the familiar software that we've been missing so badly.

Therefore: For at least the next week, and probably a bit longer, OWW will not comment upon political questions. "Political questions" includes presidential primaries, Iraq/Afghanistan/Middle East, and whether or not the Partidge in A Pear Tree is Democrat or Republican.

I will continue to post.

I hope that I irritate someone, amuse someone, cause a moment of thought for someone.

But no politics for the next week.

At least.
