- - - - - Early AM in GA - - - - -

Coffee helps, but until I'm fully awake, I feel like I'm in a weird dream. My conscious mind (such as it is) tells me I'm permanently in Georgia. My unconscious mind says that I'm on a road trip of some kind, and will be returning to "normality", in the right time zone, in familiar surroundings.

I had no idea I was so rooted in Calif. Very strange...

Speaking of CA, looks like when OWW bailed out, the Earthquake Gods took note: "Aha! Our Nemisis has left the house, and now we can rock this joint!"

We've been looking at houses, and marveling at the prices. From our Calif experiences, the prices out here look absurdly low. So far, there's one we're very interested in, and four other "possibles" that we haven't seen the inside of yet.

I haven't commented much on the capture of Hussein yet - just haven't had the time to sit and think about it.

So here's my 2 cents worth:

The majority of his actions were in his home country. He was captured in his home country. He is currently in custody in his home country.

Iran wants him. Not a chance.

Kuwait wants him. Sorry guys, ain't gonna happen, although they have a pretty good claim, given the events of 1990.

Some folks want him tried by the International court in the Hague. They've been trying Milosovich for how long? Ain't gonna happen.

Therefore, I predict, and whole-heartedly support, that after elections, and after the Iraqi judiciary is re-constituted, that he will be tried in Iraq, by Iraqis. And, probably, executed. At which time I will say, "Good riddance to bad rubbish".

- - - - - Holidays - - - - -

Christmas is creeping up on us. Tomorrow, we're going down to Cocoa Beach to visit the in-laws. Hopefully, my father-in-law, who has a dicey heart, will be out of the hospital and ready to celebrate the season. If not, we'll bring the season to him.

And my bro-in-law goes into the hospital for surgery on Dec 24th. For medical reasons this cannot be postponed. We're definitely going to bring the season to him.

I hope they don't toss my butt out for excessively bad jokes ...

Sounds: Stanley (Disney Channel)
Attitude: More coffee!
