- - - - - Saddam and WMDs - - - - -
There has been much discussion, over the past few months, as to whether or not Iraq had Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMDs), or not. The Washington Post has an article (HERE) inferring that while Saddam did NOT have WMDs, he wanted everyone to think that he did.
An excerpt:
"Hussein concluded, these prisoners explained, that Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and other countries paid him deference because they feared he had weapons of mass destruction. Hussein was unwilling to reveal that his cupboard was essentially bare, these detainees said, according to accounts from officials."
Well, it looks like he suceeded in his deception. And it cost him, big time.
Lets catch this SOB, hang him for "Crimes Against Humanity", and move on.
