- - - - - Relocation Update - - - - -
We've settled on a Realtor. We're discussing the timing.
An immediate move is out - the kids are in school, and disrupting things Right Now is not a good idea. We'll probably do something like this:
1. Have Thanksgiving here in San Jose.
2. Mrs. OWW and the Kids go to Georgia the day AFTER Thanksgiving, or the day after that, or something.
2a. The day after Mrs. OWW and Kids go off to Georgia, the movers show up and pack up all the Stuff and off it goes to Georgia.
3. OWW stays here and....
3a...Do necessary repairs (minor variety)
3b... Remove wallpaper that needs to be removed (2 rooms, partially)
3c.... Spackle any holes in any walls
3d.... Paint the joint
3e.... Supervise (Hover over the guys doing the work, that is!) replacement of carpet throughout and linoleum in the kitchen.
3f... Give the keys to the Realtor and boogie off to Georgia NLT Dec 10th.
I'd give 3a through 3f a 30% chance of happening as described above. Something is bound to go wrong. You know it, I know it, anyone who's ever done a major move knows it.
Mister Murphy is alive and well in this universe, and His Law and it's Corrollaries are in force and without pity in the application of said Law and Corollaries.
