- - - - - On Power - - - - -

Bill Whittle (HERE) tends to run a bit long with his essays, but he always has a point. His essay on power, and the moral use of power, resonates with me. See it HERE.

Excerpt: "I do not want to be admired by scumbags and liars and wife beaters. I want to be admired by good and decent, intelligent and just people, and in order to achieve this I need to do things that make me despised by their opposites. "

Mr. Whittle writes astoundingly good, clear, and logical essays. Even when I don't agree with him, I do admire his clarity of thought and exposition.

Note to the Murky News: Why don't you pick this guy up as a guest editorial writer?
