- - - - - More Independence Day - - - - -

I've traced down the difficulties I had with yesterday's posting. It appears that the entire Declaration is just too long - which seems a little odd to me - but since my account with Blogger is one of the freebies, I guess they enforce size limits to posts. Since 99.99% of my stuff is much shorter, I don't mind too much.

We (SWMBO, 8yr old, 5 yr old) went to the fireworks show in down-town San Jose last night. Drive the car to the light rail station and park, find that the light rail trains are running at full capacity and then some, take the express bus instead, find a piece of lawn to sit on, play with the kids for 1/2 hour, then watch one of the better fireworks displays I've seen in some years. Great fun was had by all! Even riding the bus was fun - it was packed with a bunch of people, all in really good humor. I heard more really bad jokes in 15 minutes than I have in all the rest of the year.
