- - - - - Capitalism and the American Way - - - - -

Here's an interesting quote from another "blogger" (what an ugly word) that summarizes quite neatly where the rest of world, no matter where they are now, really wants to live:

"Ask your solid, upper-middle-class in Egypt, or Vietnam, or Belarus, if they’d like to get a chance to start a new life as a poor American. Then get the hell out of their way, if you don’t feel like tasting the sidewalk."

That's a quote from Bill Whittle (see the rest of this part of a three-part essay on America HERE), who seems to have Bill O'Reilly's flair for language, and he seems (to me at least) a bunch smarter than Mr. O'Reilly.

HIGHLY recommended by the grouchy old fart that runs OWW. (Yeah. Today, I'm grouchy. Tomorrow may be better.)
