- - - - - Birthday Party! - - - - -
On Sunday, a "typical" California day (one of the days that we love to brag about - 75F, brilliant sunshine, on March 30th) we had a little party for my youngest, who's now 5! Cake, ice cream, ribs on the barbie, good conversation with Bro-In-Law & Fiance, her 3 kids, good friends from SWMBO work at Big Defense Company, and their kid, a kindly lady who's old house has been almost completely re-sided. And yet more foooooooood! And presents. Lots and lots of presents for a 5-year-old. She made out like a bandit! Did I mention the food? Urrrrrrrrp!!

This is the time of year when the weather in California is schizo. Sunday was 75F, sunshine, and very, very nice. Today it's drizzle, 50F, blustery winds, and thoroughly nasty. My youngest says "Daddy, is Summer afraid of us? How come it didn't stay?"
