Spent most of yesterday helping friends Dan and Sandy put new redwood siding on one side of their 1890's house. The weather was ideal for this stuff - not too hot, not too cool, no rain. Good conversation mixed in with the work. Did you know that an air-powered nail gun makes putting siding on while working on a scaffold actually fun for us amateurs? "Bam bam bam" and the sucker's up.

Later SWMBO and the Munchkins came over. We had a kind of a dinner (sourdough bread for scooping up spinach dip, cheese & crackers, scrambled eggs - sounds weird, but was quite tasty), more good talk while the Munchkins watched "Green Eggs & Ham" on the VCR. Earlier in the day, SWMBO and the Munchkins went to a birthday party for a two-year-old at the local Chuck E. Cheese's pizza joint while I was doing the siding thing. They had a great time.

Absolute deadline of March 17th for that Hitler-wannabe to give it up. Not likely, but we can hope. You notice that France, Germany and Russia have large economic stakes in Iraq? Makes their "no war" and "give the inspectors more time" stand seem kinda self-serving, doesn't it?
