- - - - - English Speaking Countries - - - - -

It's been proposed, in other places, that the English speaking countries of the world form an association. This association would be based on a shared language from a particular place - England. Other things that we get from England is the foundation of our laws, and the societal underpinnings that allows us all to at least get along, and at best, like each other.

And, why shouldn't we associate more closely with each other? Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the United States, maybe Ireland, some of the Caribbean countries, all share the same language, and most of the same background and attitudes. Sure, we'll have our differences. But those differences will be as friends, not as adversaries.

I'm deliberately NOT including such places as India, South Africa, Kenya, and the former Rhodesia - they have already proven, by their public policies and attitudes that we really don't want to include them in the "club".

Just a thought....let's see where it goes. Hows about some feedback on this one?
